Once again, another so-called evangelical has turned down the path towards the apostate church! Charles Spurgeon made a comment which in essence noted that once a church begins the downward slide toward apostasy, it rarely ever comes back from the brink of destruction!
John Hagee, one of the wonder-boys of evangelicalism for so long has now defected to the approval of the evil one and his minions which include all teachers of heresy and doctrine which damns souls to a Christ-less eternity. As a self-professed Protestant, he has decided the better option is to start back down the path which allows Protestants and Catholics to re-embrace, join hands for the better good, etc, etc, ad nauseum! The path so many are taking back to the harlot seen in Revelation is not really so worrying though because the Bible prophesies that in the end times these things would take place within the true professing church.
It is sad to see that a man who was well-respected and well-loved has sold out his flock, his ministry, and his testimony, and his own conscience for the sake of being accepted by the pope and the RCC. All for one and one for all — UNITY AT THE EXPENSE OF DOCTRINE!!!
For those true believers who are observant and watchful, may I recommend you keep your eyes to the skies as we wait for the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ for our redemption draws near! And it may be nearer than we believe! Praise be to the Almighty, the King of Creation!

I respectfully think that this may be an over-reaction. I am no Hagee fan but, in fairness, I seriously doubt that he “has turned down the path towards the apostate church.” My guess is that if you could speak honestly and openly in private with him, he would still refer to the RCC as the great whore, etc.
This brings me to what I believe he has actually done and I think it is as bad or worse than what you describe. Because of his relationship to John McCain, he is doing this for political expediency. That is, he is compromising his beliefs to pacify Catholic supporters of McCain to lessen any possible injury to his campaign.

Greg, thank you for your response, and on the face of things I believe could very well have been an accurate assessment.
However, when a person (whether for expediency, compromise, or even financial gain) begins to accept publicly that the RCC is not what the Bible describes her to be, they have started down the slippery slope.
People in such positions will state in public what they begin to actually believe in private. Even if he does not believe it privately, then he is a liar, and no true shepherd of the flock. Many will be asking, “If John Hagee has no problem with them, then why should we leave the RCC?”
Having spent a number of years in England pastoring, I watched this happen with many pastors and churches. It began subtly with small compromises and now the Methodists, Anglicans, Congregationalists and others are for the most part in bed with the RCC as though they had never left.
That truth which many true believers and godly theologians fought over for centuries is now being apologized for and the RCC which was the murdering perpetrator of millions down through the centuries is accepting the apologies. On the other side of the wall in the Vatican, they (along with their master, the devil) must be laughing their heads off at the coup de grace they are pulling within Protestant and evangelical churches.
Billy Graham, Paul and Jan Crouch, Benny Hinn, and now even John Hagee have found the RCC to be palatable to the taste for whatever reason, and through their influence are leading millions down the path towards destruction.

Hagee has long since started skiing down the slippery slop of apostasy, even before these comments. He is no more evangelical than Joel Osteen.

Help me out here, please. Isn’t this the Hagee that has stated that Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah? And is not the Son of God? Why wouldn’t he go catholic, Mary is their messiah.
